32 weeks

This one feels like another milestone! Weight check this morning is still +11kg which means I have not put on weight in the last two weeks wohhooo! Phoenix moving about very nicely and reassuringly every day and I have quite a few Braxton Hicks daily, but not painful and mostly linked to me walking or doing the stairs. My sister on the other hand has hit 38 weeks! But for now all is quiet in her quarter too.

Thank you for the suggestions on the blocked nose (I'm adding this paragraph at 4.45 am as I the situation is not much improved!), I have bought a marine water nasal spray, I think it helps a bit, but it's not a miracle solution unfortunately...the best thing for me seems to be a combination of such spray, two pillows and getting up in the middle of the night to drink something warm like a camomille or mint tea...needless to say I'm not in the best form in the mornings...thankfully Mike has let me sleep in on weekends and I also manage to go for a nap in the afternoon. Weekdays are tough though.

I attended my first mindfulness class and I LOVED IT. I realised pretty quickly that was what I was looking for, a form of meditation which is practical and almost scientific in the way it's taught. I can't wait for my next session on thursday!

Oliver is now sleeping with the side of his cot open and I'm waiting for the arrival of his duvet (I bought a lovely natural wool duvet from the UK) and we will start having him sleeping in the big boy's room. He seems very happy about the new deal, in the morning he does show up in our bedroom for about 7.15 am which I suppose is not too bad at all! He is then happy to cuddle with us till we get up for his milk. During the week there is very little cuddling time but the weekends are great.

The kitchen was fitted last thursday, we still have to finish the granit top (and we found a practically identical match!!) and Mike is fitting lights under the upper units. Will definitely post pics of the evolution. Off to watch some telly now!

8 months old!

Oliver is 8 months today! My sister is arriving late afternoon and our baby sitting routine will begin. I have to be calm and relaxed, everything will be well. This is my mantra.

In other news my stimming protocol is the same as the last time, I started my puregon (225 U) and luveris last night. I have this thing that I fear I'll forget the injections...It was a strange feeling taking out my Puregon pen from the fridge (I store it there, it's the one I used the last time and so I think it's my lucky pen). Definitely the anxiety about the cycle is minimal which is great, but still I had this thought in my mind "we are going to try and add to the family" and a smile came to my face.

I slept a bit better, I think I'm overcoming the terror of what had happened. I would go as far as saying that Oliver would have been absolutely fine in any case and that I can only do my best to keep him safe. Let's hope it'll last!

11 weeks and totally addicted...

I haven't posted in week and the true reason is that I'm completely addicted to Grey's Anatomy. So I watch as many episodes as I can per day!! I've started the fourth season now, and at this pace I think I'll be finished in 10 days or so! But I've kept up with your news and commented so I don't feel too bad...

Today I'm 11 weeks along. Yesterday I had a very very light brown spotting a couple of times after going to the loo. One possible reason is that I had an orgasm while I was napping in the afternoon!!! It came along all on its own!...we haven't had any action since ET so I think maybe I had some bottled up mojo...Anyway, I nearly felt guilty and then the bit of spotting...it freak me out no end. Can that be the reason though? No pain and no cramps. I'm booked in for a scan on Tuesday but if I spot some more today I think I'll go in tomorrow. Or I wonder if it could be due to the fact that the body is readjusting to stopping the PIO last Sunday, I think it usually took me 5-6 days after a failed cycle to get AF once I stopped the meds. I'll ask the doctor when I go in.

Mike is away this weekend with his friends, but my sister is here since Wednesday so I'm not alone! We are having a great time together which is always nice.

On the dream front things have calmed down and thank you all so much for the reassuring comments! It always help to know it happens to others! My dreams are still vivid but not horrible anymore, so I'm ok with that....a part from the erotic ones now...

This week is the last week of all the meds, I'll start diminishing the steroids from tomorrow so that I'll be taking only 5mg next Sunday, while everything else will stop on Sunday. I've read many blogs where this create some sort of anxiety and I'm no different! But I suppose this is just another step forward.

HCG nearing zero!

Well well well I'm so happy to report that my HCG reading yesterday was in fact 14!! And I couldn't be happier! I also got AF visiting! Another good sign that things are in fact becoming normal. Jeez, it wasn't quick, was it? But what can I do...I am just pleased that eventually everything was sorted out. And would you believe, yesterday I actually got THE phone call from the hospital informing me of the results. So I still have to go in next week on tuesday because they want to see a <2 reading and I'm also happy with that. Hopefully it'll be the last prick for a while.
Having a great time with my sister so, again, apologies for being a bit idle at the moment! I also want to thank all my new followers, I just love having you reading my blog.

No other major news to share a part from the fact that we are considering buying a new house! Of course, I have to keep myself busy while waiting for other things to happen...

Sister and other news

Finally my sister has come over to visit!

I'm in fact blogging from her Mac which I hardly know how to use (I'm an hard-core pc user and she's now trying to convert me!).
Everything is going well thankfully, I'll have to back to the hospital for another blod test on monday and I decided to take the day off to spend some quality time with my sister in town.

Work is quite busy and that's the way I like it really! So next week I have a day trip to Manchester, then I've been nominated to be a partecipant on a specific European grant programme which may mean I'll be making a few trips to Brussels and I can't wait! I think my sister may come along too and meet me in central Europe if I really get to go there.

And I have contacted the Miscarriage association and it was a good move. The lady I spoke to (June) sent me their information material and also gave me the contact details of another girl who really wants to set up an Ectopic Pregnancy support unit! I'm calling her this weekend and we'll see how we get on. One thing I find really nice about this association is their logo: it's a tree from which a leaf is falling off. It's really sweet and meaningful. June sent me two pins. Not sure where I'll put them yet but I'll wear them for sure. She also invited me to the special service they hold every year in remebrance of the lost children in November.
I think I'll go.
