The pet project

We went to the DSPCA this morning and decided to adopt two cats!! We should be able to bring them home on tuesday, they have to be checked by the vet and microchipped before we can take them. I'll definitely post pics, they are soo cute! Hopefully they'll get on well with each other, they are still quite small, it shouldn't be a problem...
And this is really what I need right now, something to keep me busy, to care for something else other that Mike and myself.

My cyber-blog-friend Wishi just posted her outstanding beta, do stop by if you can, she certainly didn't have an easy journey and it's great to see that it may take time and various attempts but it does work in the end. And it's another one for the Fertilty Goddess' CV, I haven't missed one yet.

I cannot deny it, I do feel left behind, I so wanted this cycle to work for us and it didn't. Seeing the others celebrating and knowing I cannot celebrate and dream with them is tough.
The cats cannot be home soon enough...

Yay for two new family members! :)

I definitely get the "left behind" feeling. I unexpectedly cried both tears of joy for her and a few for me when I saw her news today. *hug*

Add me to the "left behind and struggling with it" list. IF sucks.

BUT, I am so excited about your kitties! I love cats and have two myself. I just wish they got along, but you know how it is when you get two bitchy females together. LOL! I can't wait to see pics!

Cats! They're lovely and independent, but they still like a good cuddle. So glad you went out and did this for yourselves. And, yes, to the loneliness of being left behind. It's terrible:( On the one hand, you can tell yourself, well it just wasn't meant to be right now. But on the other, it's just so...hard. But I have this very strong feeling that it's going to work for you, Fran. I can't explain it but I think it's because, from a purely cold-blooded, scientific standpoint, the reality is that you do have the ability to make good eggs. It's a matter of getting the good egg in the right place. I just wish that part didn't have to be so hard (or heartbreaking).

Fran you are my dear cycle buddy and the next transfer is your time girl. I don't even know where to begin on much you mean to me as a blog buddy and for all your support and help. I am ecstatic, but super cautious, I am infertile and even with a great beta I must still be very careful.

Cats are awesome, as you know we have a bunch and they are so loveable and bring so much joy. They will be your goddesses and bring you positive baby vibes, remember 2010 is your year girl!

Love ya! xoxoxoxo

So happy that you found two kitties. I can't wait to see pictures!!!

The feeling of being left behind is awful. Not only did I have to deal with the political situation we were stuck in during the miscarriage of the triplets, but then the move to another country. I felt so left behind while we were on the forced break from treatment. It was horrible. I was happy for those moving ahead, but so, so jealous. Adopting the cats really did help my need to care for something; plus they add so much entertainment to the house.

Congratulations on your new bundles of fur!

I am sure it must be so hard to watch others celebrating right now - I know you are such a supportive blogger friend, but I don't think anyone would blame you one bit for taking a break from the pregnant blogs...no matter how much we love them, we all need to do that from time to time out of self-preservation.

We have a cat and a dog and it is a wonderful thing to have cuddly creatures to care for! I'm so glad you are getting them so soon! Can't wait to know their names and I hope you post pictures!

Love,
Maddy

Sorry your feeling left behind, I would be and do at times too. Can't help but to wonder when your turn is up hunh?! Trusting is so hard.

Have you thought about kitty names yet?

Yeah!! I do find cats much easier then dogs but my hubby is allergic.

I feel ran over and then left behind. IF relationships can be like a hit and run accident. We get close and have such support but it is so hard after one final gets a win. My two IRL bf's just had babies a month apart and here I am crying myself to sleep each night. Sigh. IF is hard enough but the extra emotions make it harder.

Yay for the cats - what lucky cats they are! Hope you'll share some pictures with us!

Like others have said, I can certainly relate to feeling left behind. I hope that hugs from across the pond help a little bit.

Thinking about you.
