All about the kittens

Yes, we have them at home since monday and all my IF sadness seems to have magically disappeared!! I had full-on AF as it always happen after a failed cycle, headaches from hell due to quitting the steroids and yet I am so happy!

So, I don't have new pics for the moment, but I'll post definitely more soon. Patches and The Dude are settling in very well, they have started playing with each other in a very friendly/playful manner, no more hissing! And also The Dude is much less shy, still doesn't want to be picked up and would quickly "run to safety" if he thinks you are getting too close, but I'm confident it'll pass soon. Patches is very very cuddly, he starts purring before you even pet him! I can't wait to go home in the evening.

There you have it, I've turned into the mad-childless-woman who talks only about her cats!

Ahh no, I'll be posting about the attic also and the adoption and the next IF steps as soon as I have some news, so don't go away, I'll be missing you terribly!!

You are officially a cat lady now. LOL! This makes me want to get kittens. One of our cats has some serious issues (see post I wrote about "the bad cat" back in October) and I'd love to start fresh with an issue-less cat. LOL!

Glad they are helping ease the pain for you. Take care.

This makes me smile, too. Nothing makes me happier on a rough IF day then curling up with my cuddly Othello. I'm excited that you get to have that small joy.

Nah, my bet is you'll be a mad-for-cats cat lady WITH children:) Glad the kitties are settling in and I bet in a month The Dude is going to be stretching over your shoulders and purring in your ears...

The kitten stage is the best! My cats are 14 and 13 and I miss that sweet baby stage. Enjoy them!

Awww. I love kitties. I call them Kit cats. Animals really are a blessing and a joy. The unconditional love is awesome. Plus the purring... oh the purring! I miss that.

And yes, The Dude will come around. He is just in a very new situation and isn't sure what to do. Eventually he will warm up to you and be just as snuggy as Patches. :) (Or was it the other way around?)

Glad your cuties are settling in so well. I love cats, but DH is allergic, so no joy for me there. Plus I'd be too lazy to look after them, probably.

Isn't it amazing how fast those furry little creatures can worm their way into your heart?! They are truly adorable, superior examples of their species (based on the pictures from your last post). I'm more of dog person, but still can appreciate their appeal :P

Can't wait to hear about how the attic is coming and whether you've heard back from the adoption agency.

It is definitely amazing how our pets can lighten up our days! They are amazing and love us any time of the day. I do not have a cat, but our dog is the center of our lives! I am so happy that your cats are helping you!

Congrats you are now part of the crazy cat clan. They do bring so much joy and I am so happy you got them! Out kitties bring us so much joy and have made this IF road that much easier for us. Looking forward to your next step and confident that we will both be mommies this year to someone other than cats, although they are awesome too. Love ya Fran! xoxoxox

Smitten for a kitten! Or two! Pet love is truly a wonderful gift, and I always feel a bit sad for people who wrinkle their noses in slight disgust and say, "Ugh, no, I am not a pet person." Poor them!

I'm not saying a pet is the same as a human child, but there is definitely a space in the heart that can be filled with the love of a pet. I'm so happy for you.

So glad to have found your site. Im also a fellow VET. Sorry about the fact that all your cycle buddies get pregnant. It appears we suffer from the same "disease", maybe we should be cycle buddies next time and then the universe will be so confused we will both have to get BFP's!! :)

Love the cats!!

So great to hear that you are all settling in so well. I've been thinking of you and your new additions. I was amazed by how much of my sadness our cats took away. They definitely add a new element of happiness to life and to the home.
